Copenhagen: My First Days in Denmark 🇩🇰
My Scandinavian adventure began in Copenhagen.
After a long journey from North Carolina, I finally arrived in Denmark—and somehow, stepping into Copenhagen made the long trip feel completely worth it.

Первые впечатления? Красиво, спокойно и очень уютно.
I stayed in Copenhagen for four nights, and I quickly settled into the rhythm of the city. Walking became my favorite way to explore. There were bicycles everywhere, beautiful old buildings, canals, cafés, and little streets that seemed to invite you to slow down.

Здесь не хочется никуда спешить. Хочется просто гулять, смотреть по сторонам, заходить в кафе и наслаждаться атмосферой.
☕ Copenhagen, one coffee at a time
Of course, coffee was part of the experience.
There is something wonderful about sitting in a Scandinavian café, having a coffee, watching people pass by, and realizing that you don't actually have anywhere you need to rush to.
I also loved the combination of old and modern Copenhagen—the historic buildings alongside clean, contemporary Scandinavian design.

And then there was the water.
The canals and harbor give Copenhagen such a special feeling. Even when you're simply walking from one place to another, the city constantly gives you something beautiful to look at.
A slower way to travel
One of the things I enjoyed most about Copenhagen was that I didn't feel the need to check everything off a list.
I could walk.
Stop for coffee.
Take a picture.
Sit for a while.
Walk some more.
Просто гулять и наслаждаться моментом.
That's becoming my favorite way to travel.
Copenhagen gave me exactly the kind of beginning I wanted for this trip: beautiful surroundings, good food and coffee, long walks, and plenty of time to simply be there.
And then it was time to say goodbye to Denmark—for now—and cross the bridge into Sweden.
